Alaska Hike and Canoe Paddle

Set out on the ultimate Alaskan adventure with our tour, a favorite among families, photographers, and notable guests such as the BBC and O Magazine. This immersive journey begins with a tranquil walk through the lush Tongass National Forest, the largest temperate rainforest globally, where towering Sitka spruce and hemlock trees envelop you in nature's majesty.

Your adventure intensifies as you reach the launch site for the next leg of your expedition. Under the guidance of our experienced canoe guides, you'll receive comprehensive paddling instructions and gear before boarding our spacious canoes, designed to accommodate groups in a comfortable and safe setting. Navigate towards the awe-inspiring Mendenhall Glacier, with opportunities to observe Arctic tern nesting grounds and the breathtaking Nugget Falls along the way.

As the glacier looms closer, prepare to disembark and venture on foot through the rocky terrain leading to the glacier's edge. This hike offers an unparalleled opportunity to explore the glacier up close, providing insights into its profound impact on the landscape and its rapid changes. Our knowledgeable guides will enrich your experience with fascinating information about the glacier's history and the dynamic processes shaping it.

This tour, renowned for offering a quintessential glimpse into Alaska's wild beauty, does not involve glacier trekking but focuses on the extraordinary experience of being near one of North America's most visited glaciers. Due to the glacier's ever-changing nature, each day presents a unique adventure, with varying features and landscapes to discover.
